About the event
Join Esther Productions Inc. as it presents its second reading in Season Two, featuring Michele Evans and Samuel "Sami" Miranda.
Michele Evans is the author of poetry collection purl (Finishing Line Press), a 2025 nominee for the Maya Angelou Book Award and februaries, a chapbook forthcoming from Yellow Arrow Publishing in 2026. This fifth-generation Washingtonian (D.C.) teaches English and Creative Writing in Northern Virginia and serves as the adviser of Unbound, a nationally recognized and award-winning high school literary magazine. Prior to becoming an educator, Michele Evans studied English Language and Literature at Smith College, King's College-London, and the Graduate School at the University of Maryland. Her poetry has appeared in Artemis Journal, Bellevue Literary Review, Maryland Literary Review, Spoken Black Girl Magazine, Zora's Den, and elsewhere.
